At BeeCamp in Winter (3)

As February arrives, the bees begin to stir inside their hives, and the queen resumes laying eggs as brood rearing begins. However, with few flowers in bloom, there is little food available even when the bees venture outside. This makes the timing of supplemental feeding especially important.

At the same time, mites also begin to increase, so early intervention is critical. If temperatures do not rise above 13°C, we cannot open the hives; doing so would risk killing the larvae. During this period, we rely entirely on careful observation from outside the hive to guide our decisions.
