There is also plenty of work waiting for us at the BeeCamp apiary during winter season: improving drainage channels for the rice fields, replacing soil for new plantings, maintaining flower beds and walking paths, planting more fruit trees and herbs we hope to grow this year, and clearing the bamboo grove—cutting and splitting bamboo, making simple bamboo crafts, harvesting bamboo shoots, and even making bamboo charcoal... On top of that, we are building and installing new decks and sunshades.
There is truly no end to the daily hands-on work in the fields.
