On March 15, we held the launch event for BeeCamp’s very first mead, “Hime Mead – la abeja reina,” at Gogoshima Beer Farm.
In the morning, we hosted a talk about honeybees, which was fully booked.
It was a wonderful time sharing stories and curiosity about bees with everyone.
We also featured an art exhibition by kirinpicnic, who designed the label for this mead.
Gogoshima Beer Farm prepared a special dish of chicken and couscous to pair with the mead,
and Hyodo-san created beautiful raw sweets using BeeCamp honey — all of which sold out.
As the mead was poured fresh from the tap, we kept hearing one word again and again:
“Delicious!”
It marked exactly three years since we placed our very first beehives here in Ehime.
Spending this day with the friends we’ve met along the way made it truly special.
The gifts carried by the bees have now become a drink—
and once again, they are bringing people together.
“Hime Mead – la abeja reina” has been very well received,
and already about half has found its way to new homes.
If you’re interested, don’t wait too long.
